The 900-year-old salt mine in Wieliczka near Krakow has been a
major tourist attraction since the 18th century.

On Easter Saturday and December 31st closing time is 3,30 pm
and 4 pm respectively.

Tours of the Wieliczka Salt Mine
Access is

guided tours.

"Miners' Route"

visitors.
Tourist Route.
The popular
guided tour of
the Wieliczka
Salt Mine is a
3-hour,
2-kilometer walk
thru the three
oldest levels of
the mine between
64 meters and
135 m under
ground. It
includes the
most spectacular
chambers, lakes,
and the
subterranean
museum with
stunning
exhibits. Groups
of 35 enter
climbing down
steep stairs and
leave by
elevator.
